Bonnieheath Estate, Waterford
Bonnieheath Estate is a lavender farm and winery with a relaxed vintage feel, the kind of place that naturally leans a bit boho and rustic vibes
It works well for everything from smaller, more intimate weddings to larger celebrations. The distillery space has warm wood tones and deep red accents with mix matched farmhouse seating. It can seat around 50 guests indoors, making it a solid option for micro weddings or cozy receptions. There’s also flexibility for outdoor setups on the side yard, which gives you more room for a bigger guest list. Stay the night before and get ready in the morning at the Farmhouse -a three-bedroom house that sleeps up to 8 guests.
They offer ceremony-only options as well, which is great if you’re planning something simple or pairing it with another location.
From a photography standpoint, the lavender fields and open space give you soft, natural backdrops that don’t need much styling especially later in the day when the light settles in. If you're planning around the lavender, peak bloom typically hits in mid-July, which is when the fields are at their most vibrant

Flowers are everywhere. The look of this venue makes it seem like destination wedding without even leaving Ontario. The property is consistently praised for how well it’s maintained, and couples often mention how easy the owners are to work with, a family that goes above and beyond for their couples. Wakefield Estate, Bright
Set on 100 acres of rolling hills in Oxford County this venue caters to both large and intimate weddings. Wakefield Estates is polished and rustic estate that has two options for your ceremony depending on your guest count - The Courtyard features a modern rustic mix of old barn elements, stone, and newly built arbour structures, while The Water’s Edge offers a more natural setting beside the pond.
Cocktails are held in their uniquely restored barnyard bar. Receptions are held under the venues permanent tented space that can be decorated how ever like and host your guest from dinner to dance party.

Embee Gardens, Scotland
Embee Gardens is a beautifully landscaped garden venue in Scotland, Ontario, offering a relaxed and intimate setting surrounded by greenery. Included with the venue rental is a 3,000 sq ft house that sleeps up to eight guests, available starting Friday night. It’s modern, warm, and makes for an ideal space to get ready on the morning of your wedding.
The property allows for tented receptions, allowing couples to have everything in one. While they offer a small list of preferred caterers, couples have the flexibility to choose their own vendors for the rest. It’s a perfect spot for couples wanting an outdoor wedding and lots of green garden space. It is more compact the larger estates, but that adds to the charm and intimate nature this Scotland, Ontario wedding venue.

Ruthven Mansion, Cayuga
Ruthven is a National Historic Site set on a massive property along the Grand River. The site features a 1800s Greek Revival, temple-fronted mansion that creates an amazing backdrop.
Wedding ceremonies can be held outdoors in the gazebo or along the stone wall. Receptions are held in The Coach House with stone interior and natural wood rafter ceiling. Perfect for the simplest of decor to compliment the heritage feel of the interior.
Photography at this venue has lots of varierty. The mansion provides a classic, architectural backdrop, while the surrounding property offers stone textures, open green spaces, forested edges, and views of the river.
This Cayuga wedding venue is a great option for couples drawn to history, nature, and architecture-offering a setting that feels both refined and grounded without needing a lot of fussy decor.

Cranberry Creek Gardens, Lynedoch
Weddings at Cranberry Creek Gardens in Lynedoch, Ontario are relaxed countryside celebrations Norfolk County does best. If you’re after garden party charm and vintage elegance, then you will like this venue. The onsite chapel is the centre of the venue, it has a beautiful white interior with original pews. Getting ready on the property is easy with the wedding suite, all beautiful designed keeping with the vintage aesthetic. Ceremonies are often held outside the chapel on the steps, but can be held inside as well. Late night dance parties are also in the chapel, because of the residential neighbourhood nearby. Cranberry Creek is a favourite among photographers because the gardens are planned with the 4 seasons in mind. There are both oppotunites for indoor and outdoor photos. The back field and wildflower patch are especially beautiful as the sun starts to dip, and there’s a hidden nook between the cedars that is only accessed by squeezing through.
Cocktail are served in the chapels built on pavilion, smaller intimate weddings in warm weather could have a seated reception in it as well. During the reception, the barn adds character with its warm wood tones, chandeliers and string lights, creating a cozy backdrop for first dances, dinner and speeches. Long harvest tables are set up and allow for you to make personal touches with the decor. After dark, the twinkle lights cast a warm ambiance that makes romantic nighttime shots. There is even a fire pit for night time non dancers, It’s a such a cute venue! It does book up very quickly, although they do offer weekday wedding packages if that works for you. They are a number of packages ranging from full wedding to elopement.

Burning Kiln Winery, St Williams
Burning Kiln Winery offers a vineyard wedding experience right in Norfolk County, with wide open views and a relaxed countryside feel. Set on a former tobacco farm overlooking the Long Point area, the property has everything needed for an elevated, yet laid-back wedding.

It’s a great option for couples who want both their ceremony and reception in one place, with a slightly more polished take on a country wedding.
The on-site farmhouse includes three bedrooms, making it easy to stay overnight and get ready on location. It’s a relaxed, spacious setting that works well for getting-ready photos and those slower moments in the morning. A cute swing outside too!

Oxford hills golf course, Mount Elgin
A golf course, but not a boring one! With exclusive use of the property, you’re the only wedding booked on your day feels way more personal than other golf courses. Ceremonies are typically held outdoors overlooking the hills, while receptions take place inside with large windows and mid-century modern–inspired furniture that maintain a strong connection to the outdoors. It’s a great option for couples who want a seamless indoor/outdoor wedding. A big bridal suite is available for getting ready in the morning, very beautifully decorated. There is a spa on site as an option for the a day before your wedding.
From a photography perspective, this venue is all about the light and the view. Oxford Hills landscapes create beautiful sunset opportunities, and the clean, uncluttered backgrounds make it easy to keep photos feeling natural and relaxed.
It’s a straightforward, easy-to-navigate venue that works well for couples who want something scenic and stress-free without a lot of extra logistics.
