Tapestry Hall Wedding, Cambridge | Tamryn + Matt

This wedding at Tapestry Hall started in the rain and ended in full sun - but did not phase Tamryn and Matt one bit. A couple that didn’t take themselves too seriously, which meant everything felt relaxed right from the start. At one point, the groom (a serious foodie) asked for photos of the meal. Not exactly my lane and not something I’ve done since a photo school assignment, but I gave it a shot anyway. (They’re not in the gallery)

Tapestry Hall is a space that looks amazing but doesn’t hand you the photos, you have to know how to work for them. The ceilings are massive, the light can be tricky, and the industrial feel paired with large-scale art installations makes it a space you have to read properly. One of the standout pieces actually reacts to sensors placed in the Grand River, shifting with the real movement of the water, which is super cool.
