Whistler Bear Golf Club Wedding, Cambridge | Jeanette + Greg
Jeanette and Greg were married at Whistle Bear Golf Club on a completely overcast day. People often worry about overcast wedding days, but I'm happy with sunshine or clouds. Beautiful photos can be made either way. In fact, the lack of direct sun meant nobody was squinting, we could take photos pretty much anywhere, and everyone was comfortable being outside.
One of the best parts of Whistle Bear is the ceremony space. The huge windows let in lots of natural light, and there are opportunities for some unique angles if you have a second photographer. I like to place mine outside the windows to get some “peaking in” like shots.
Jeanette had a pretty sweet first look with her dad. So cute and emotional. All her bridesmaid were watching and tearing up. I love those photos.
For portraits, I am always a fan of getting a golf . My camera bag is heavy, and has been known to topple me over mid-crouch while shooting. ( I always wear shorts under my dress, so nobody is flashed.)
During the speeches Jeanette's gift to Greg was a promise that she would finally become a Maple Leafs fan and stop cheering for the Canadiens. She put a jersey on over her dress and there were lots of cheers and some boos.
