Windecker Woods Flower Farm Wedding, Cayuga | Sway + Daniel

When I first saw Sway’s inquiry land in my inbox, my immediate thought was: that is an incredibly cool name. Later, she told me she was named Sway because her mom swayed a lot while pregnant with her. Her sister’s name is Luxe, so obviously this was going to be an extremely down-to-earth family.

The wedding took place at this laid-back flower farm in Cayuga with forest ceremonies and barn receptions - the kind of venue that doesn’t need a ton of decor because it already has so much character. Vintage vibes, relaxed atmosphere, nothing overly fussy. Daniel’s daughter was so unfused she fell asleep at the ceremony.

The whole wedding reflected that energy perfectly. Dinner was pizza, the speeches were emotional, there were keg stands on the dance floor, and everything felt completely easy in the best possible way. Just people genuinely happy to be there celebrating these two.

The golden hour that night was absolutely ridiculous. One of those sunsets where I just kept shooting because every direction looked good and Sway and Daniel made everything feel effortless. The kind of wedding where you sit down to cull the gallery afterward and realize there are way too many favourites, so you basically have no choice but to over-deliver.

Also, these two literally have each other’s names tattooed on them, which honestly feels like a level of commitment beyond marriage itself.
